Pushing Through The Challenges

Pushing through the challenges of life in general can be hard.  Not to mention work, kids, all the adult responsibilities we all face.  This last year has been hard.  My husband has had five major operations in the last two years.   Each one with different challenges.

My biggest challenge has been balancing taking care of his health needs, working a full time job, recruiting for two network marketing companies that are new to the direct sales market IPro Network Creating Your Future Now and Vitae Global – Products are fabulous .  While I’m doing all of this I forget to look out for the most important person,  Me!  When someone you love is having health issues the last thing a caregiver wants to do is complain about how their feeling to the one person they’re caring for.

I will admit that I have let my blogging suffer, my success goals and determination to meet those goals has gone down quite a bit.  It’s not because I don’t desire to complete what I set out to finish.  By the time I am home, tending to my husband and what he needs it’s already so late at night I barely have time for myself.

Caregiver Action is a great resource for anyone needing to find solutions, ideas, advice on caring for ones self.

For instance in this article 10 Tips for Family Caregivers the number one thing is seeking other caregivers for support.  You are not alone! Second, take care of your own health so that you will be strong enough to take care of your loved one.  Number five – Caregiving is hard so take respite breaks often.  (That I know I don’t do enough of). Lastly give yourself enough credit for doing the best job you can in one of the toughest jobs there is.

The biggest challenge for me has been keeping up with a positive outlook and mindset.  In network marketing most of us are taught keeping positive, working on one’s self image and being persistent will out weigh the negativity, the dark days of feeling overwhelmed and helpless.

How have I been able to get through all of this you might be wondering?

PRAYER!

Prayer – I am a born again christian I firmly believe in the power of prayer.  Jesus Christ gives me strength everyday and my hope lies in him

READING!

Reading keeps my mind focused and clear headed towards my personal goals.

These are the main two I can actually say I focus on at this time.  I am sure there are other things; however they must be suppressed at the moment.

Why I Started Writing A Bolg

I don’t claim to be a professional blogger.  But then what is a professional blogger?

I found an interesting article by professional blogger John Saddington titled The Definition of a ‘Professional Blogger’ or ‘Full Time Blogger’ In this post he explains a few different viewpoints.

There are a number of differing viewpoints and not one of them is necessarily incorrect; in fact, anyone has the full right to call themselves a ‘Full Time Blogger‘ or ‘Professional Blogger’ regardless of any outside opinion. But, there seems to be an understanding, both cultural and nuanced, about what it means to be ‘Pro.’

Just think about it for a moment, especially as it relates to professions and jobs in other areas – What do you think of when you say that so and so is a Professional? You probably assume a number of things, right?

I started my blog a few years ago just to voice my opinion about things going on in my life I am passionate about.   Learning how to fine tune, hone in, really dig deeper into the fine art of blogging came from meeting Lesly Federici owner and expert author of The Power Affiliate Club.  The PAC is a community of bloggers helping each other and offering advice.

I needed to have a voice

Writing my thoughts down and sharing with my readers gives me joy.  Mind you not all comments I receive are nice and thank you’s.  However for the most part people get interested and comment back.  Having your followers comment on any posted article is an honor.  I must be doing something right.

When I first started out my posts were short, not alot allot to read and I didn’t really post many images.   My  very first blog article Creating Your Brand looks absolutely pathetic now.

What was the point I was trying to convey to anyone?

How do you create more leads, more people to talk to when you’ve gone through your list and heard all the excuses and all the “NO’s” so many times?

Create a brand for yourself. What ??? What I mean is one must be willing to create a brand of themselves on the internet to attract the people they want into their business.”

That’s the jest of it.  No instructions given, no real helpful advice.   Not so much as even a link to another resource for help.

My main goal

For you , my readers to like what you’re reading and hopefully learn something new along the way.

My personal goal is to continue growing and learning about ways to improve my writing as well as my mindset for success.

I hope you found this enlightening and as always,

For A Single Moment We Forgot Hate

On August 21, 2017 something amazing happened.

Most of you are probably aware that there was a phenomena in the sky called a sloar eclipse.  The solar eclipse encapsulated the United States of America and the world for a few shinning moments.

When I saw this meme on Facebook posted by Damien Von Dunn I knew it spoke volumes.

Frederick R Barnard first wrote the phrase, ” One look is worth a thousand words“, in Printer’s Ink, December 1921.”

If one look is worth a thousand words then I found a picture worth a million.

Where were you during the solar eclipse?

Many people traveled across the country to catch a glimpse of totality while other’s stayed home, went to work or school.

Where was I?   I was at work in my office.  However one of my colleges brought in a pair of glasses to share with anyone who wanted to take a peek.   If you missed it click this link to see NASA’s Solar Eclipse Photos.

And for a single moment, our nation stopped, and looked up at the sky and forgot about hate

Lately I’ve been ashamed of the ugliness, hatred and bigotry gripping the United States of America.   What has happened to getting along with each other? Settling our differences in a calm and collective manner?

I’m not going to get on a soapbox here, however I am disgusted at the actions some people choose to participate in this past weekend.

Can we just all get along?

Where is the love?

Has love escaped us?  Has common sense left the world? Every man, women and child should be reaching deep into their hearts, finding the love, pulling it out and spreading it around.

Enough with wars, violence and hate.   Waylon Jennings said it best when he sang “Let’s get back to the basics of love”.

So another eclipse has come and gone.  The world stood silent in amazement for just a few moments in time forgetting all it’s cares and worries to bring peace.  I wonder when soldiers are fighting in war and on Christmas Eve if at one point they stop everything and listen for the peace?

I hope you found this inspiring and as always I welcome your feedback.

3 Ways Of Finding A Fresh Perspective Towards Success

Sitting here in the Snowshoe Motel in Frisco, Colorado in a much needed vacation with my husband.

There’s just something about the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.  Breathing in the fresh mountain air, dropping a fishing pole into a creek or reservoir, spending time outside in the quiet of nature, lead me to three ways of finding a fresh perspective towards success.

  1. Stop focusing on the past!
  2. Focus on the present!
  3. Change the outlook for the future!

Stop Focusing On The Past

It’s seems like every time we’re getting ahead something comes along from past mistakes, grabbing my attention and making me feel gulity, worthless, like I totally screwed up life.

Repairing past financial decisions, caused by myself have not been easy for me.  I hate accepting the fact that I messed up.  However I am thankful for my husband’s unconditional love and support through it all.

When past creeps up remember your past is over.  It NEvER defines you!

Focus On The Present

What is happening right now to steal my present success?   Staying stuck in my past mistakes keeps me from moving forward in all areas of life.

What steps can I take to change the outlook?  Letting the past go even when it knocks on my door reminding me of what I’ve done.   Reading positive and motivating books such as Think And Grow Rich by Napolian Hill or  7 Habbits Of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey.  Just two of my personal favorites.

Writing a list of personal successes will help keep your focus on the present and the future.

Change The Outlook For The Future

Look forward to new challenges. Tackle them head on.

Write down a new daily, weekly and one yearly goal.  Yes I said one yearly goal.  It’s August 12, 2017 so that leaves almost four months to complete it.

I found this helpful article by Tiny Budda with tips for changing your perspective.  A great point

When I decided to change my perspective, I felt comforted to know that all that I was going through had a purpose, even if I did not understand it. I found a peace in knowing that I could change my mood in an instant by changing my perspective.

It’s up to each individual person to decide whether to move forward with the present and change the outcome for the future, or stay stuck in the past with regreats and anxiety.

I welcome your comments and feedback.
